bsg ever driven a car without a front windscreen and the rest of the windows up.
Supprisingly there is no breeze the car fills up with air to a certain pressure then the air flows around the high pressure zone same with a hollow point.

Today I took a few of these out to test out some loads.

21gr of 2205 averaged 1527fps for an ME with bullet sized and gas checked at 275gr, of 1428ft/lbs. This was a mild load.

23gr saw them whip out at an average of 1684fps for 1732 ft/lbs.

Not bad for a stumpy little pistol case and I don't think too many boars will shrug that off.

I also had some shiny new Lee 310gr flat pointed solids along that I had just cast up. These are 315gr sized and checked. Big, with flat nose around 9mm across.

A mild load of 18gr of 2205 saw them average 1393fps for 1357 ft/lbs.

The other load was 20gr of 2205 and with that load they averaged 1500fps for an ME of 1574 ft/lbs.

Given that these are a solid, I envisage total penetration with side on shots no matter how big the pig, unless a very large bone is struck. These get their shocking power from the broad, flat meplat and won't expand being cast from straight clip on wheel weights.

For those interested, here is the other bullet, the 315gr Lee flat nose, all checked up and ready to rumble. At 1500fps that flat nose should hit with a solid "WHUMP!" and be more than capable of busting any pork bone it hits or defeating any shoulder pad.
