I used to use them in my 22-250. They performed very well.

Re: v max projectiles for .223
i have heard that a few people with 223's have struggled to stablize 55gr vmax's in their 12" twist factory barrels. seems to be a bit like the 40gr vmax phenomena with 12" twist 204's.
give them a try but if they group lousy and you still want a 55gr bullet go to nosler 55gr ballistic tips. i've used them and they work great, same carnage as brady has shown there.
also i found the better powder that worked for my rifle with 55gr bt's was benchmark 2, 2206h worked better with the 60gr partitions. i can look for my load data but your best of working up your loads.
good luck.

Either the vmax or bt have worked well in my 22-250 or 223.Both seem to create very good paddock pizza.

iused 2206 and 50 gn SBKs but 2206 is being discontinued so either buy a lot of it or go to benchmark or 2206h now i reckon
Re: v max projectiles for .223
With my Tikka 223 lite I have loaded 40's, 50's and 55's. I don't like the 40's much but the 50's and the 55's are very good. I also use the BM2 rather than the 2206.

Re: v max projectiles for .223
I have used 55 and 60's in my rem 700 .223 1-12" twist, the 60's liked 08 and the 55's either 08 or bm2, I am using bm2 for 52hpbt noslers and it loves that.
