Favorite target design

I am interested to see what everyone likes with regards to target design. Both formal target shooting and informal target shooting for load developement and practice etc.

Hi Wadcutter,

My very favourite for sighting in/practice for smallbore is the first one in a previous topic. It has 6 targets spaced on A4, and I find it is about right for keeping groups well separated, and is scalable through the scope.

Trevort has a link posted there as well, to mytarget.com. There is a good grid one on that site that I have used.

There is also targetz.com, at:

http://www.targetz.com/game01.htm

and finally, I have only ever found the one set of scaled paper silhouettes for rimfire. They are at:

Hope this helps.

regards, curan

A3 paper... Red dot in centre.. thats all I use. I do not shoot at 100m though, ladder tests at 300m... most shooting beyond that!

I rough bore sight looking down barrel with bolt out so target seen, then adjust scope to be same aiming point. Then pick a spot out in the paddock or range that I can see the report from, shoot, then dial in to that.. straight onto paper at 300m. Easy!!!

Cheers

Figure 11 and Figure 12's on the SMR range.

Unfortunately they don't sell these out at Silverdale let alone have the snap shooting system or capability.

That was my first shot on target with a rifle built by the Maestro Clancy at 1000 yards at Canberra on the weekend.
