Fly Shoot 6th May

Post by malcolm »

Gidday guys, I would like to thank all the Fly shooters that did not attend the Hornsby shoot and went to Little River instead.
The fact that most of you guys were shooting in Victoria meant I ended up with a fourth place at Hornsby.
Top score was Mick Farr ( again) with, I think 215, next was the father and son team from Tamworth and little 'ol me with 163.2 for fourth.
The wind was quite vicious at times, maybe them big 30 cal's do buck the wind better.
All in all --a top day---How did you guys go down south of the border?

malcolm,

Well done mate thats a good result .. conragtulations to Mick Farr again .. I think we might have to get some guys to the Sydney shoot just to break his run. Also well done to Mark & Mitchell Tallar.

I do not the full results for the Vic shoot but ;

Trevor Bent aka Ackley Improved won the day
Ross Hutchins and Shane Clancy figured in the placings

So Well done to Trevor and his 6 Dasher.

cheers

Well done guys. Good to see.
Yeh Rinso it would be good for a few of us to get up to the Sydney shoot one day but it needs to be a different weekend so as not to clash.

cheers,
Shane

Malcolm,

I was thinking to myself on Sunday...'jeez it must be getting close to Hornsbys shoot'....

Congrats on the placing, did you shoot 'standard' class ??

Hornsby is one nice range to shoot at conditions wise....nice light winds and bugger all mirage....compared to some anyway

Don't feel bad about losing to Mick as he CAN bloody shoot :D + those blokes have years of dedicated fly shooting experience too :D

You did well :D

Gidday Kenny, my rifle comes in at well under 17lbs.
That thing of Mick's is a beast---I seen the way it belts Mick back, and he's no anorexict.
