My PB.
Well its raining and Im home alone ................and now Im bored so here is a pic of a target that I shot at the last local ssaa comp,I wasnt going to post the pic as it caused a bit of a stir at the event due to a couple of coments about how many shots were fired, which thankfully I wasnt told about till later that night .
The event is 2x 5 shot groups at 100mtrs and they take your best group not agg of the 2x so what I do is I use the LHS target as a sighter and use the RHS as the record..........................................and yes that shot right up the top is mine wasted that one.
Was it a fluke .....................like to think not......................................can I do it again Hmmmmmmmmm dunno .
Oh and the zero near the group is the size that they measured it as.........................reckon couldnt measure it with the verniers ,I measured it at home with my setup and it appears to be about 50thou or so.
Regards Chris.

Re: My PB.
Knackers it is a non registered comp so there is no moving backers, which reminds me that they are talking about how they can construct some type of device so that they can verify the number of shots fired when we shoot comp, another hair brained idea will come from this.
The rifle is my Stiller Viper 6PPC.

Re: My PB.
Thanks Macca,I am only a weekend hack at this centrefire stuff and yeah I suppose I have to get lucky sometimes and this was one of them.
I have shot many groups under .5 and quite a few around the .25 but to fire a couple at the sighter and have them only just touching and to then bang three down range on the record target and only see one hole then.......................wait............waiting..
...................................................................then crack the other two down and to still see that through the scope I near shit myself........................seriously.
Still if someone come upto me right after and sat a gorilla($1000) on the bench and said do it again ......................................................
...........................................I would have said look over there its a big!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!somethingorother and while he looked away hid the rest of my ammo .
Regards Chris.

Re: My PB.
Chris what about those $20 roast chook rotisserie thingo's that take a couple of "D" size batteries, they have at Crazy Clints or Mad Harry's or whatever they call the junk shop over your way, you could make up a bracket to hold it and feed off a roll of paper towel. They turn pretty slow so it could be done I reckon?chris.tyne wrote:Knackers it is a non registered comp so there is no moving backers, which reminds me that they are talking about how they can construct some type of device so that they can verify the number of shots fired when we shoot comp, another hair brained idea will come from this.

Re: My PB.
Knackers that sounds like it would work...sort of,trouble is getting everyone to do it and use them.Considering that windflags get shot up at times I am a bit dubious as to how long they would last.

Re: My PB.
Chris that is just awesome! Congrats!
Sad that others question you instead of congratulating you on a true zero group. How about everyone just verify they have 10 rounds on the table if its just 2 5 shot groups.
Once again top Stuff
