I like the 2010 savage rimfires, CZ Varmint range, Savage Thumbholes, CZ thumbhole once it comes to Australia.

I am looking at prices at all different gun shop website's.

Any idea when the CZ thumbhole comes out?
Nope, I haven't been following the new gun market lately, but what I honestly believe is that CZs (both rimfire & centrefire) are the best value "quality" rifles available. I've got the 22lr deluxe, 17hmr varmit, 22 wmr classic & a 527 in 204 ruger calibre. My only gripe is that they don't make 'em in stainless, but they shoot extremely well, are very well put together, and don't cost the earth. It's a rifle you will always keep 'cos there ain't nuthin better for the money.

Re: the thumbhole stock, yeah they look nice but it's a personal choice whether they are comfortable to shoot.

If you end up with an AG down the track, expect to pay close to a grand for the gun alone if you want something decent. Yeah, the pellets are cheap but you can buy a lot of 22lr ammo for $500.

Yeah i am looking at the CZ varmint in HMR,

Now that i think about it, it probably wouldnt be the most comfortable thing shooting the thumbhole off hand, which is what a rimfire is all about.

I reckon i will stick with the CZ varmint or maybe go with a savage thumbhole as it might be a bit better to shoot than the CZ version.
Plus who know's how much the CZ version might set me back

I am also going to buy a cheap lithgow in .22LR for "plinking" as the single shot wont then have to worry me to much, and if i want rabbit for meat, i can take 1 single shot.

Thanks
