Power

Post by Sir huntalot »

Hi all,

I was just wondering what you all have on your .22's scope wise. Pics would be great but yeah just getting an idea.
I was thinking of maybe putting a Nikko Stirling Gold Crown 3-9 x 42 AO on my .22 for longer range shooting.

cheers

yeh a 3-9x40. Good enough for a 22. As fun as they are, 6-24x56's just dont suit 22's, but shooting bunnies at 50yds is fun as you can pick which hair to aim for.

3-9X40 Gold Crown on mine. The scope is an older one, early 90's vintage and is still going strong. Most of the time it's set on 6x but on occasion I use it on 9x. I don't think it's over the top at all.

Hmm must be bored. I just swapped the 3-9x40 over to the spare 6-24x56 nikko platinum nighteater. It looks totally out of whack but as I said, I was bored and it seemed fun.

My Brno carries a 3-9 x 40 Bushnell, "elcheapo" Banner, been faultless for ten years, and I've won a few field comps with it. Mostly I leave it on six power, enough power without to much field of view sacrifice.
