I am thinking of getting a 8X56 Illuminated Lynx for my Ruger VT 223.
What mounts do I need to mount a scope like this Ruger High mounts? or another make Lynx? or what ever.
I use this rifle at the range bench rest and out of a ute on foxes at night does anyone have any experience with the Lynx. I know the Kahles are the best but I cannot justify or really afford it.
thanks
Mike

I got a new Kahles 8 x 56 a few weeks back. It's good but not arms and legs better than most other scopes for low light or spotlighting. Dark is dark and nothing can turn night into day. 8 power is not enough for me i'm sure i would see more and and as a result shoot better at night with a 10 x or 12 x .

l have a Lynx 1.5-6x42P on my 338. The optics are clear but l dislike the sight picture. lts like looking through a tunnel. The sight picture has a large thick ring around it and l find it very off putting. Not as nice as others to look through. l would not buy a Lynx again.
l have a Kahles 8x56s (25 year old) and find it exellent to use in all situations. l got it for the 243 and spot lighting foxes. ln low light situations it does give you a brighter picture compaired to a scope with a 40mm objective. But compaired to others with 56mm obj l dont know if they are much better.
