If you havent already purchased one, take a look at this one, I just ordered one specifically for spotlighting. I used a mates and the I/R was superb.

i have no problems shooting with my leupy mk4 at 25x under the light. it even has the tactical milling recticule.

i think its more to do with what people can see.
