Redding Comp Dies

Im looking to buy some Redding Type "s" Match die set for .223rem and 6mmBR.

Who/Where is the best place to get some here in Australia. Ive been seeing prices of $300 plus then i still need to buy the bushes. Is there somewhere else with more competative prices.?? Or should i just order straight from Sinclairs in the States??

I went to a gun show thinking I would find them a little cheaper, huh, they asked me "what" dies!!
So I rang and emailed a few places and almost dropped the phone once or twice cause of the
price!! The price variations between different shops was scary!

Shane gave me an idea before I went to the gun show how much they were so I ended up
ringing him back for a exact price. I brought them off him!
Message him and ask for a price.

Postage might kill you buying them from the US but there are a few blokes here who are doing an order from
Sinclair so I would get a die price and go from there.

Off sinclair's website the 223REM Match Neck die set is $155.75US and the Comp Neck die set is $198.80US. Shipping would be about $40US max for a 20LB priority international package (USPS).

Buying 2 die set you WILL save money over buying in Australia. While at it i am sure you could find small items like jags, brushes, etc. They are very cheap, i picked up some nylon brush for less than $2AU each compared to about $8+ i had seen similar locally.

try Hinterland Shooting Supplies and Procal (Pete Van Meurs) both on this site.

I bought my last die (a Forster Benchrest seater) from HSS. My last few dies sets have been redding body die and redding bushing neck die and forster benchrest seater. Unless you need the micrometer top the forster unit has the sliding sleeve for $50 less. Sinclair were out of the seater I needed and Fiona had it so was happy to pay the few extra dollars

Also can anyone say which bushing sizes i should get for the 223rem. I have read 245-246 is around where i should start, i have remington and winchester cases that the moment but will get some Lapua's when load developement is sorted.

They probably wont have them in stock so they can be a bit slow. However they always deliver and correct any mistakes they make.

Yeah been looking around, and i think ill just put in an order through Sinclairs. But Russ Haydon also has some good stuff for the benchrest shooter and is cheaper on some items.

I've always gone through sinclair.
the way the aussie dollar is it would be cheeper to order through them.
14 to 16 day turn around, unless customs decide to hold on to them,
then it,s 10 days extra.

refers to the case head, if you have a tight match grade chamber standard dies might not squeeze the case head (the base end) enough so you buy dies designed to do the job
