Hi guys,

Dad and I are heading down today, we should be there after lunch.
We decided to head down a day early to have a play with a new toy that turned up a few weeks ago.

See you all there - should be interesting if the breeze stays up. It's forcast to be Cold too!!!

That's bloody typical... cold enough to be able see those 6mm holes, windy enough to contemplate packing the 6.5 instead....

G'day Jason,

From memory sign in is between 0730 and 0800.

But if your like me then you will be up before the crack of dawn and there at about 0600 hrs with a big greasy Sausage, Egg & Bacon McMuffin oozing with Barbecue Sauce.

I am so excited, new rifle and all.

Regards

Sean

Thanks Sean. I need to catch up with a few people so will try to get there early.

Do you find out bench assignments on the day or are they already known?

Cheers, Jason.

G'day Jason,

The bench draw is usually posted on the board near where we sign in.

Have you nominated as yet?

I am not shooting - 500m fly is way out of my league for now. Just coming along for a look and to catch up with TrevorT, Stinkitup and Shane to collect or deliver various bits and pieces arranged via this forum. I haven't actually met any of them in person so was going to use the bench assignments to work out who is who. I will check the noticeboard when I get there.

Cheers, Jason.

Big day tomorrow at the range... need to do load development... could be struggling..... went out on Wednesday for a quick ladder test... very windy.... only shot at 100m for finding pressure. Didnt find any up to 33.4 grains. Had a few cases left for the batch, six actually, so loaded up a whatever load... 33 grains... and this was the result... would be nice to run with this load but velocity will be down I think! Unlucky!

Its hard to get these things to shoot  !

Bloody flyers!!

If that's a hole under the ruler, it has the straightest edge I've ever seen for a bullet hole.

Well, fun at the range has already started. Had a few shots from a new .338 edge. Recoils like a .308 on a soft load. Noisy as hell and would clear the range pretty quick though.
