Go to bunnings whorehouse, get yourself a three pin plugtop for $3
Takes 2 minutes to rewire the plug mate, instructions should be printed on the inside of the cardboard top thingo.
true, but that would be illegal, and may void home and contents insurance. Stupid society we live in when you need to get an electrician to wire up a plug but pretty sure you need one to hold your hand through the process

The other thing is that the US use a different voltage system than here - So supplying 240v to a 110v device CAN cause spectacular results....
