Nth Qld 1000yd AUG 9th
Hi all , Well we finally got a match in to compare with Virginia IBS matchs .. Albow would be doing this but he left after his last target and before we scored the them because he was crook..A coupla reasonable groups but no great results ..Everybody is probably sick of the lousey weather report ,so i'll say it was just peachy ..Ask John Mc, he reckoned it was the easiest of the conditions he had shot in so far.. SG for H/G was 7.61ins and in L/G it was Al on 4.205..Albow will follow up with full results as soon as he has got rid of that green hue he was wearing yesterday ..JR..Jeff Rogers

I still had my 300 Rednex LG so i thought i would give it a run to mix with the boys and see if i was in any way going to miss 1K or any other shoot. Well my scores and groups reflected my attitude and quite honestly i couldn't wait to drive out the front gate. I have definitely shot my last match of any form of competition and cannot see me missing any part of it. My only regret in all this was to not have the will to do this rifle the justice it will get with a new owner. It goes to show that you can have the best LG in the country, but if your head isn't in it, then it is all wasted.
Good luck to all the boys at Townsville with their remaning matches and good luck to all those who are involved in the international postal. Well done to Al on his best ever group where his previous best with the same gun was around 6.5". More evidence that the fitting of stretcher tubes have a lot to offer in future rifle technologies.

Hi All
Results are now posted and as JR said I was a bit under the weather but there was no way I was missing this match after finally getting back to shooting up here and it was all worth it with the group I put down on my fist target
Now I just gotta repeat it a few more times to get a decent agg for the year
