Mr Walker has been busy again on the virginia site. :D

if interested, check it out.

http://www.virginia1000.com/VA_Canberra.compare.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

obviously, the americans ( the virginia 1000yd BR club in particular) are prepared to support, promote and do what they can for IBS 1000yd BR :D :D .

I don't know about anyone else, but apart from generously allowing our results to be placed on their wep page, i am very appreciative of the time and effort that they are placing into the compilation and presentation of this information.

"must be some good blokes" over there, eh!

cheers

Good to hear Dave. Yes there are some very good fellows over there. Some time back there was some interest from a couple of well known 1K shooters looking to come over for a holiday in the sunny North and have a look at the Barrier Reef. Maybe take a shoot in if possible. One day it would be great to see a World Champs like they already have now with a team from Aus competing. I know there are a few that would love to go over.

Yeah mate, to have an Australian 1000yd BR team visit and compete in the states would be “pretty special” ( as Bruce McAvaney would say).

And I reckon it would be just as good if they were to come to Townsville or Canberra (both preferably) so that we could meet and compete with them. Jeff are you listening???

Grant and Ian

Following the may 1000yd br match, from our match tactics and review meeting, I am having trouble remembering if the general consensus was, that we could not get any worse and the Virginians could not get any better OR is it the other way around??

I do remember the part, where for the first match; we decided to lull them into false sense of security, which the results indicate, we achieved to perfection. :D

Hmmmmm, I can’t find the meeting minutes to clarify this, hopefully Mr Purcell still has his tape and video of what transpired. That’s if, he had any room left to fit anything it into his truck, because of the room that was taken up by all his trophies. 8)

Regardless, I am sure that whoever turns up at Majura on Sunday to compete will have a memorable and enjoyable time.

Cheers

Dave...

To better our results there is an old saying about golf.. goes like this.

"""A good scorer will always beat a good golfer"""""...

Kidding, we need to get a bunch of us loonies to go on a holiday to the US to compete..

Trevor
if you have not anything planned for next weekend, any chance you could contemplate a wander ( or drive preferably) up to canberra

maybe shoot f class saturday arvo and then the 1000 on the sunday.

rinso has ensured us that the weather forecast will be cool and dead still until 11.30am and then competitors have the option or choice of whether they can try and continue to shoot OR alternatively, unravel the kites and watch'em soar!

as you may have already deduced, any additional help would be appreciated for this event.

Mr Davis, Mr Bending and your good self ( and any other victorians) would no doubt make a significant contribution and be most welcome on sunday. :D

cheers

Dave, i hear the two Fuge's are back in the fray. Seems that old man Fuge is taken by the stretcher tube thingy. Who would ever have thunk that? I wonder if this new innovation will ever take off?. I just can't see the merrit in such a contraption myself

"hook line and sinker" would possibly be an apt description also.

the results and improvements they have been getting in a number of calibres is phenomenal.

they don't do anything by halves either, mr fuges is a perfectionist.

as both were IBS devotees, who gave away 1000yds, because of the problem that existed post 2004, BUT now that the problem has gone, we are trying and hoping to get them to return to fly and 1000yd BR.

both are great blokes and even better company.

cheers
