They are pretty small units nowadays so i don't suppose there are any adverse balance issues due to weight, what about range? Would be nice to be able to spotlight on my own
Sorry for the slight thread steal.
from what I have seen the look like a good set up
they use the LF 140mm lights with a mounting system on the handle
I saw some nite stalkers today in clayton firearms. There where a few diffrent models starting from a 350+ meter one for $100 up to 700+ meters for $180 i think it was. Has any one here used nite stalkers before and are they any good im in the market for a new light too. Mitch
I was thinking more of walking, where I shoot is pretty rough and rocky and in some spots we take a walk into gully's to whistle. The wolfeyes is what I'd be going for, they are quite small and tight.
Currantly use a Powerbeam 7" handheld and a Powerbeam 11" Pro with Blazalight handle (was in shooting buggy) thats now in a window mount. Also have a Blazalight light and Lightforce handle thats not used (was in the window mount).
Looking at getting a Lightforce 140/170 scope mounted setup in the future.
We have Powabeam, Lightforce 240 and Lightforce 240 with HID bulb conversion
on our shooting 4x4s, I can tell you that the Lightforce 240 HID sh*ts all over
the other two. I am so impressed with it that im gonna convert the other 240 to
HID as well.
I usually use a lightforce 240 handheld plugged into the trusty old landcruiser. I purchased a lighforce walkabout kit yesterday and had a shine around my paddocks at home (seeing 26 rabbits including a melanistic black one in the process) and it seems pretty impressive so far. I am going up to my Grandparents farm tonight so I will be able to test it up there aswell.
Got a LF 7" roof mount and can swop to the big 1 when need be. But tend to stay with the smaller 1 as it doesnt cast as much refleck off bonnet as i got it roof mounted perminetly as i use it for work.Got to these things when ya shoot for a living.

Dont forget the Lightforce 170 and the 6" Powabeam that I use to light up my side of the truck
For fox shooting have a early 70's power beam (has the copper body) with the very yellow rectangle beam.Much prefer it to my 240 LF, iam not a big fan of retner burning billion trilillon candle power light unless iam pig shooting, were you are looking for bodies not eyes.
Well a roof mounted spotty is my next purchase. Reckon I am gonna go with powa beam 245mm and roof mount. I have used LF and while they are good I like the more solic look of the powa beams. also the handle is simple( but bloody pricey!) and the switch is easily replaced if it dies. My mates LF switch has gone and looks to be a harder job than a PB. I also like the fold up feature. Has anybody had trouble with the LF roof mounts? Heard from a few people that the handles can get really loose or lock up.
