Case trimming for .204R

Post by R.J. »

Just wondering what people are using to trim their .20cal cases. I have looked at a few different brands and they all need extra bits bought to fit the .204R

Does anyone know of a hand trimmer tool that would be suitable?

i've got one of those annoying turn the handle yourself lyman universal trimmer. unfortnately universal doesn't include a .20 pilot so i sacificed the .45 at my local gunsmith to turn to .20cal.

by the way if you do that take a sized case with you for the smith to turn it to or you might find yourself trimming your cases before sizing them. not that i've found a problem with it.

hope this is more usefull to you then useless.

good luck mate.

Trev,

Based on your comments, in part, I spent $s I really did not have and purchased the Wilson + arguably unnecessary and expensive micrometer in their top of the range unit.

Now YOU are going to have to teach me how to use it!
