thats about it.

the key people from the melb br club are on here. I'd say go down on a practice day as there will be lots of people with time to give you help and then try a club comp.

I however also thought that I'd be laughed off the range for even dareing to use a 0.5 moa live varmint rifle in a br comp. Might just have to pack one of them up and head down to Little river one sunday. Can any br shooters tell me what I'll need for the match, or that just might come in handy to have. Gonna look silly enough as it is, so if I can have at least the basics that would be a help. I am thinking take my front rest, rear bag, hearing protection and plenty of ammo. What else have I missed?

Cheers

There will be a BR match at Little River Sunday 17th May. Although many of us will be in Portland for the State champs but the other members will be happy to assist. It's shown as a Light Varmint (10.5lb) 100yd match (5x 5 shot groups, unlimited sighters) but any rifle may be used 'out-of-class' - just shoot with the guys and get some experience. An even better opportunity exists Sunday 31st May. This will be an unlimited 200yd match (5x 10 shot groups), no restrictions on equipment. Many members will have their 'rail-guns' on the line - always an interesting sight. Normal thing is to be at the range by 8.30AM and just look for the group of blokes putting their wind flags out in front of benches 28 thru 38.
