Jimbo,
You don't miss much....looks like AI will need to come to a few rimfire matches to justify the expense.

Re: rich prick
Steven,
Mate if I had the money I would mount that above the mantle piece and be happy if I never used it,as it is I just keep reciting something Cookie said to me once "I dont think that a custom action really offers any advantage over a well set up factory action other than a physiological one" now all I do before a match is repeat that as if in a trance ........
.....well you know what they say.....What ever gets you through
Regards Chris.

Re: rich prick
Kenny,Steven,
If I was to use a Rem700 short action as a base for a 9lb sporter that will feed 2x rounds from the mag, what sort of weight or what is a very light stock that I could use.I have a McMillan LV that weighs 30,1/8thoz with trigger guard and bedding, pillars.
Also what taper would be preferable for the barrel, would like to try 30 PPC..........yeah get the snot kicked out of me but I would like to use the rifle for sporter and traditional hunter, kenny and I have discussed this previously but some more idea's would be good.
Ok I have weighed some components and this is what I have come up with,
McMillan stock or some other that is as light or preferably lighter bedded with pillars, trigger guard 1lb 12oz,Rem700 action with Jewel 2x screw rings, davidson bases,T36,stock trigger 3lb 21/4oz,Adl mag box, spring, follower 3 1/4oz,now if my alchohol fuel brain is thinking correctly this leaves me with around 3.5lb for a .30 cal sporter barrel ,any......................................................... idea's.....................................Kenny ...steven....................................anyone please.
Regards Chris.
