March finally arrived!

Post by Ackley Improved »

Well

After some wait it has finally made it. A March 10-60 with MTR reticle.

First impressions is it very very well made, and only holding onto it and looking through on 20X it is very clear and sharp.

It most likely wont be on top of a rifle for 1-2 months yet as I am having some work done to the rifle as we speak.

It looks the goods!

Thats a bit overkill for the cooper mate-- didn't think a .20 VT could shoot to 2000 yards

Mate

The March will be going onto my 6mm Dasher Fly Rifle, well one of them.....

Most likely the Stolle Dasher, and then on the BAT dasher I will use a 45X Leupold I have!

I am looking forward to trying it out at 500m to see how much better, if any, it is over the 12-42 Nightforce!

AI, very co-incidently, I was discussing this scope with a benchrester from Silverdale on Saturday.
I came straight home and goggled it.
Does this have the 30mm tube and is it the new Swarovski that has the 34mm tube?
Well done, did it take long to arrive from Kelby ?

If I wanted just the dot reticle I could have got it straight away, but I wanted the MTR which ment I had to wait. About 2-3 months.

It has a 30mm tube, but also has 72MOA of adjustment. That is fantastic, as the Nightforce 12-42 only has 40 or 45MOA. With a 20MOA base, I will be able to go from a 100m zero to well out past 1000yds!

Now, I would hate to buy one of these now as I paid in full when I started to see the dollar drop. These would cost well over $4000 now, or as much as a custom rifle!

I am very happy with the scope though, and it will be a great addition to the little 6mm popgun!

Had a look through one a while back. At 1K, I couldn't see a lot of difference between it and a NF 12-42, other than magnification. I'm told it's very noticeable at 500 where you can actually see 6mm holes pretty clearly on a fly target. Still, don't know if I'd want to justify the price considering the crappy warranty.

Pretty damn good scope by all accounts other than that. Hold POI perfectly, returns to POI perfectly, adjustments have no slop in them at all, nice and light...

A 60X scope, jeeze all it needs is a 4x booster and you wont just be able to see the fly on the target, you will be able to see if he is jewish or not. Said in a Borat voice--- Is niiice
