My JB OZ 1 BSA Hornet is shooting them at 850 fps for 45.7 fpe presently.
We have just had two weeks at the farm. The wind blew, it rained and we even had some snow. Not pleasant, and morning temperatures as low as minus 7 d C. I cut a lot of wood and the fire burned constantly. Melbournians know the feeling. Anyway I did get in one good session when there was a lull in the weather.
This is one of three targets shot in a session with these heavy pellets. They were sized down to 0.2190" ( 5.56 mm ) and indexed into the chamber according to the " die's fingerprint" to ensure that any discrepancy in balance from the swaging process would allow for them to leave the muzzle all with the same orientation.
You might recall this target shot at only 790 fps ( 39.5 fpe ) some time ago with these pellets for which I had trimmed the skirts to ensure they were even: Note the black Texta spots on the skirts for indexing.
Perhaps Lewis might consider importing a few directly from Korea for those with 30 + fpe .22 rifles to try. .... Kind regards, Harry.
