Who's got a T-3 Lite?
Who here owns a Tikka T-3 lite stainless?
I am thinking of getting one in .223. I'm sure they don't make the lite in .204.
I have read adds that say they come with mounts, and are wondering are these silver?
How well do they shoot? again the adds say that they have a one inch accuracy gaurantee, but do they just acheive MOA or do most go under MOA?
Is there anything that you dont like about the T-3?
And does anyone know where to buy the cheapest in southern NSW, Vic?
Some gunshop in Qld has them for $925.

For what it's worth, I have one,in 223.The mounts are silver, optilock. I run a Leopold 6-18 x40 vii.A light rifle to carry and accurate as.I reload and have no trouble getting 1'' at 100.A great value rifle IMO.What don't I like about it?................Don't get to use it often enough.I think they are available in 204 now, check the website.
Great bit of gear!

Pretty good figures really, it would be 15,001 if only they would do something about the damn stock though!Thomo wrote:I do, its in 338 and sitting in the shop waiting on my bloody PTA

Re: Who's got a T-3 Lite?
I have got 2 stainless lites. 1 in 223REM (1:12") and a 270WIN.
Testing some new ammo yesterday on some new sandbags i got (at 50m) a .496MOA with American Eagle, .734MOA with Highland SX and about 1.5-2MOA with Remington Accutip 50gr.
The ring that come with them are pretty 'light weight', i have got Burris XTR 'tactical' weaver bases and Leupold QRW rings on both of mine now, they are alot better quality.
I would buy another, but i would need to mix it up and get a laminated stock or camo to make it easier to pick the right gun.

Knackers go the laminate stock one. I had a blued wood stocked 'hunter'. I also bought a lite in 6.5x55 but sold it without shooting it. No complaints about Tikka's but the stocks look and fell a bit plasticy (but they work well). Hold one and see how you feel. The laminate stock weighs about the same but looks much 'prettier' IMHO

Re: Who's got a T-3 Lite?
I got T3 Lite Stainless in .270 A bit lite IMO though. The stainless come with silver ring mounts and the blued model with black. Lite weight alloy Millet jobs I think. I wish they gave me Optilok with my Tikka's
As for accuracy, the lite shoots easy 1/2" to 3/4", which I'm more than happy with. Ive never seen a T3 Tikka not shoot at least moa.

Re: Who's got a T-3 Lite?
I've got a .243 lite stainless, they do leftys so a bonus in my book. Nice rifle, light to carry, shoots ordinary Winnie super X's into about 3/4 inches not that I do much range work. (Christened it with a fox at about 280m. )
The rings are silver and good for 40mm scopes.
Adjustable trigger is good, got mine at about 2lbs
Bads: Plastic stock curves a bit to the left at the fore end, I sanded a bit under the barrel to get it floating, easy job, but I like the durability of the synthetic stock.
One action size for all T3's so there'll be a lot of metal around your little 223 round, if that bothers you?
I'd recommend one.
