That is definitely quick mate!

Wish i could run the 52gr amax in my 10 twist BRX to see if i could match you. I can get 55gr BT's at over 3750 with 35gr of 2208 and thats not pushing it. How much powder does the AI need to run the bullets that quick?

Giday Brad,
38.2grs of 2208 mate.It will run up to 4000fps but the accuracy at 3800 is so good its all I need.
The group above is just average and nowhere near its best, it is 0.314" at 100m.
The 308 barrel put 5 into 0.307 at 100m with 125gr BT's at 3050fps.
The 6mmBR put 5 into 0.700" at 300m with 105 Bergers.I just love the 6BR everyone I touch just shoots so good.
It is just a very accurate package.
It's almost unfair on the foxes, rabbits etc.
Maddco barrel on 22-250AI 1:14twist
Sako factory on 308 1:10
Trueflite on 6BR 1:8
Have a good one,
Macca

Have just joined this excellent forum. My favourite "Ugly Gun"

28 inch Black Mountain Barrel 1:14 twist
MRC 1999 Long action
Choate Varmint Stock
Warne Bases
Burris Sig Zee Rings
Zeiss Conquest 6.5 - 20 x 50 No. 4reticle (in pic its a Bushnell 4200)
Smithed by CD Field Service of Bathurst
Calibre: 30 MC (30-06 Imp)
155gr Lapua Scenar @ 3250fps
125gr Speer TNT's @ 3450fps

Very emphatic killer!!!

Fireform loads shoot just as well as fully fireformed cases. Why I like it: "You can feed it any crap & it still shoots good!".

Drew Jaeger wrote:Currently, my small game outfit is a Ruger KM77 MkII All-Weather in 223 with the standard 22" sporter weight barrel. The scope is a Leupold Vari-XIIc 3-9x40mm. I have lighten the trigger to 2.2lb and installed a trigger shoe. The barrel is fully floated.

These bunnies were shot with Speer 52gr HPs

I've tested numerous projectiles type/weights and powders, the load that consistently shoots well in this rifle is;

Nosler 40gr Ballistic Tip
WSR primer
27.3grs of Benchmark 2
Remington brass
Chronographed velocity = 3480ft/s

0.712" at 100m

Nice shooting Drew - Those Nosler BT's certainly do the job well dont they
