HEAVY GUN.
Dosent that mean its is heavy dosent mean it has to use heaps of powder and heavy Projectiles.
Why not a 6.5 useing 139gr Lapua Scenars with a BC of .660 if you can start it out at 2800fps its still doing over 1600 at 1000 yards.
At a start speed of 2400 fps the puter tells me it will still be doing over 1300fps at 1000 yards so anywhere from there up with accuracy in the correct twist barrel in a heavy gun has to be good. so 9.5 twist barrel and velocity of 2600FPS will have it totaly stabilized even the 123gr scenars have a BC over 500

Mate i've shot a 6.5(swede and 6.5x 284 and 260rem) and I'm just looking at something different to run in HG.
