Are you sure that's the right size target.
There's not 2 minutes of vertical in those flags.
I can't see the target for the shadows.
I can't see the target for the sun's glare(said almost simultanously as the above.)
Someone shot on my target and it confused me so I shot on the other one.
I forgot to do up the action screws.
The humidity is making my bullets do funny things.
The wind is making my bullets do funny things.
My bullets are funny.
The target frame is wobbling and making the bullets miss the V ring.

Knackers,

Leanne and I were down the small bore club today and we gave them a report on the shoot at Leeton (They think that 200 meters with a .22 is absolutely crazy, you should have seen the look of disbelief and horror when I told them about the 15-18 klm/h wind and the group sizes that some of the boys achieved on the day).

It's no wonder there is so much friction between the two associations.

They would have canceled a 50 meter event with the kind of wind we had in Leeton.

I'm not disheartened by the dreadful result, we can't shoot good all the time. It was a good learning experience and the first time I had used the Anschutz in 200 meter fly.

(We should have stuck with the Bruno model 4).

I think I will leave the Annie set for 50 meters as it was a real pain in the arse having to re-zero it and getting it to regroup.

I have recently purchased a Savage 900 s that I will rig up for Fly.

Will definitely see you at the next shoot in August.

I'm hearin ya.
Every fourth week we have a rimfire comp, and its a bit hard to find time and daylight and good weather to rezero, and I've got a range out the back door. :?

Ah, the good ole "Hes cheating by staying within the rules!" or "It's not fair, his gun looks better than mine!". True classics that seem to go a long way.

How about my one.. " cause I am a shit shot"... maybe not a excuse.. but factual actually...

maybe this one then...

"The HG's on both side of me didnt allow for me to shoot because I could not work out if my rifle was still pointing at my target with their 100+ grains of powder percussion, which only left me with the shit condition to shoot on".

Cheers

Or, "AI's rifles are better built and run and prettier than any of mine, and I'm an even shittier shot than he is."

Hey hey hey.. settle down here.. if anyones going to be a shit shot its me ok!!! Lets get that straight!

Another one...

"But nothing is going on out there (watching flags), but my F#&&^ shots are going everywhere".. Oops, my mistake... factual again.. F-ing Little River!

Who blames verticle???? easy way out when your drawing nice 90 degree lines on your target!

AJR... 20-30sec dont help me cause I'll still be shell shocked for another bloody 5 minutes... must have ear plugs and ear muffs on.. and then just watch my poor little reticle giggle around after each shot from both sides.... timing is priceless....

Cheers

Is this thread perpetual or what?

The best one of all has to be, "but he has an unfair advantage", which should really read, "why the fuck didn't i think of that?"
Sorry to stick it to the National Respite for the Aged and Arthritic, but this has to have been dreamnt up by a shooter that has been wallowing in C grade for 50 years and still reminisces about the good old "three oh".
