Another Air gun extravaganza!

Post by RayG »

Hi all,
Well I see we are to be treated to another Air gun extravaganza in the Australian Shooter magazine next month. This time the "Diana" springers are in for it.
Could be interesting.

Hmmmmmm, If my memory serves me well, I can rember the sales rep for one of the previous importers of Diana saying that they got rid of Diana because of "quality issues". Strangely enough they then went for a company based in one of those idylic countries in the Mediteranian holiday area. No complaints about quality with this new company. Very Patriotic indeed.
I wonder what the new importers will say about things like quality, spare parts, service and availibility?

Well Hilly if their Reps name is "Buckley" I would say there would be no chance of the above! :P

Mosberg is another example. We needed an extractor for a "Plinkster". The new importers are advertising like crazy but have no stocks of guns or parts, ETA is "sometime". The old importers have some parts but can't get any more because they aren't the official importer. They managed to find us the bit we needed, otherwise the customer would have had a rather long wait for his part.
These smaller foreign companies seem to change their distributors about as fast as some people change their undies! Ask them about a product that is more than a couple of years old and most of the sales reps have never even heard of it.
Grumpy old bugger ain't I?

I think you and the rest of us have a right to be grumpy on this subject. :(

I don't rely on any other importer for spare parts.I am turning away more airguns than ever before because of low quality and/or lack of parts.
