hold on a minute, are you trying to say that was your first fly shoot? I was pleased I was getting better (that was my fifth) and you blew me away on your first. Not fair, and there was I thinking you were a good bloke

I thought he was an "old hand" at it too, good shooting alright.
Yeah trevort, that was my first centre fire target match of any kind. I probably shouldn't mention that I only picked the rifle (my first custom) up a month ago either .
I think it was beginners luck. You shot more flys on one target with the 204 than I did for the whole shoot.
Well done to Paul "Chopper" Read on a great debut in BR. That is the sort of domination we have to put up with when he gets serious in F-Class. What is even more scary is that he's a top wind reader and has a 7mm that hums. (and he's a knob twiddler !)
So make him welcome fellas, while he's up there cleaning you up, we get to relax down here.

Well done Paul..... but he knows it was no easy win..... the final placing were very tight. He did enjoy it one hell of a lot, and think we will be seeing him more often. He liked the pace of the event.....
I will give him a couple of calls to remind him that the 500m Fly Shoot in Canberra is next month!
Thanks to all the guys who travelled it made it a great weekend. The conditions on Saturday were tricky, but some good results shot. Sunday was great to see many good targets shoot. Hope to see you all next year.

Al,
Didn't mean to belittle the skills of your people - just got a bit carried away seeing a mate going so well - I've never shot fly, so the scoring is still a mystery. BTW if he does go to Canberra, I imagine he'd be wise to take his 7mm? (to see the bullet holes).
