Brisbane 1000 yds weekend

Post by BRT »

Hi,
For whoever is interested I have posted some pictures and some results on the Benchrest Bulletin website about our 1000 yard Benchrest ASG event last weekend in Brisbane. Australian Shooting Games are held in Brisbane this time of year for many shooting disciplines in Shotgun, Rifle and Handgun. This 3 day event was part of that.
Rather than duplicate things here go to:
http://www.benchrestbulletin.com.au/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" and then to 'forums' and then the 'Longshot Louie' forum

It was a great weekend enjoyed by all. Thanks to all who participated and helped make it a great event.

Thanks for the excellent report Stu, looks like you all had a fantastic time there. I still intend on doing your BR course, really enjoyed the reloading one I did a while back. Was really impressed with your Harrell's combo press and ordered one from Haydons. It arrived a couple of weeks ago - after a 5 month wait for a production run to be done. Terrific little press!!

Hi Wall,
Thanks. That combo press is great. Glad you like it.
The other reloading class we run occasionally is coming up in August at the QGE.
Covers more specific stuff, BR technigues, Wildcats, case forming, neck turning and most importantly Measurement and tools.

I forgot to mention about the 1,000 yd Benchrest equipment wise the 3 place getters in the Light Gun Class (6 targets) in which Murray Hicks won both categories. He was shooting a 6mmBR, Annie Elliott was using a 6.5 x 47 Lapua and Des Moynahan a 6.5x284 first day and a 7mm WSM 2nd day.
