The sierra's shot under half inch in mine, the speer 100gn hot cor shoot 3/4 inch and the V Max shot 0.353" but I couldnt for the life of me get the BT's under an inch. Same with the -250 it hated the BT's and the BK's but shoots V Max under 1/2 inch all day!brad wrote:cheers mate !
ill get this load sorted then try them 87gn SP sierra's, but i like the blue tips !
hopefully ill be able to remove a bit of that vertical dispersion in that load !
as i said my old 25 loved em and they made the best paddock pizza, which of course is the most important thing !

Good stuff Brad! Get the Taipans while you can as I was told that there may be an indefinate interruption in manufacturing of taipan gear.

Re: Projectile swap meet
First of all let me say thanks to Macca for the 70 grnr's.
I have finally cleaned out my reloading drawer after having conducted a dawn raid upon Horsley Park gun shop.
I have a dozen 35 grn V-max in .224 (these sizzle and are lethal upon vermin and varmints from a .223).
I have ten 61 grn Barnes FMJ's and a dozen Berger 70 grn VLD's.
The 61 grnrs and the 70 grnr's are no good unless you have a minimum 1 in 9 twist, although the 61 grnr's may stabilise with 1 in 10.
Anyone interested PM me and I will send them on.

Re: Projectile swap meet
Yes Thanks for the PM Sean, it will be interesting to see how they go in the martini, from pictures on the web they don't look like they have a big boat tail or any boat tail which should make them pretty short and stubby. Should really make the martini Zip

Re: Projectile swap meet
I made the post today, so you should have them by Wednesday, Thursday the latest.
I was using 22grn of 2207 in the .223.
I have five loaded with 26 grns of BM2 that I will place over the chrony (hopefully on Friday).
I think that I may have been pushing them too hard taking into consideration that I was using 19 grns of 2207 for a 55 grn V-Max.
If your shooting Rabbits with these you wont be able to eat them unless you intend to use them for soup.
