I asked this for a reason- if you are in sunny QLD near burnett perhaps- there is a mad bullet caster and black powder freak I know

it might be worth your while to get to know him- if you help out and provide the lead- both for yours and in payment he might be willing to make you enough hard cast projectiles to last a shit load of hunts.

working with this bloke and afternoons effort will give you enough projectiles for years worth of hunting with a big banger like that

Not so sunny Qld today
Not that keen on using cast projectiles in the rifle. l think they lead up very easy from what l've seen. But ok at .38spl velocities. l will only be using the 416 for dangerous game, so looking at jacketed pills.
But thanks all the same Pat.

As a part of a "speriment", I have bought some Berger 20 cal projies, but won't need all of each box.
On hand are 40 and 50 grainers.
First in best dressed, but I don't think they will last long...

Don't think so, Trevort (though maybe a few less years and failing body bits...) but if you can get an old mucky 20 projies to ogre (he's making me a dummy round) that'd be a great help.
PM me your addie and I'll bung 20 in the mail. Ogre should have his by now... They're a lovely looking pillas is the 50 grainer which is like a mini 180 gain Match pill.

mine arrived too-- the PN on the yellow sticker on the envelope doesn't match up with whats on bergers web site-- what are the specs for these projectiles please?

Will get working on the dummies for you

What oal do you want them made to- or do you want me to polish the inside of the necks to give them a bit of a sliding length so you can play with the OAL?

Duh

open the envelope fat arse- old wooby has put a letter in there explaining everything-- I'm such a dunce these days

Strange that the label has a different pn on it than the website does

TrevorT's right they are sleek little suckers- they will get up and boogie in a .20 BR.
wont be a slouch in a 20 PPC either- and a .20 PPC has easier to form brass
