Hi All , 2008 "Iron Man " SOTY Fly shoot has been run and won .. Guests from south are on their way back home ,with some booty i might add, congrats to all the winners.. Small group was Tony Z (H) at 2.10ins, High Score SC was the down south gun plumber ,Shane Clancy at 54(H).. For agg WIN in L/ G it was the Melb maruarder Jaegen Peet at 210.4, 2nd was Charlie Robinson from Gladstone shooting a 30 BR at 199.4, and 3rd was Tony Z at 185.2.. For agg win in H/ G WIN it was Tony Z at 213 , 2nd was Shane Clancy at 205 and 3rd was Charlie Robinson shooting a 338 Lap Mag at 193.1 .. The new Remington 700 Varminter was WON this year by John Mc Quire from Mackay ..Much thanks goes again to Merv and Wendy Short for the "Peter Short Memorial" Rifle Prize.. To say that conditions were challenging for all is little understatement , rumour has it that there was bloke shooting my heavy gun that looked like me but thats not true as i wasn't actually there. i was somewhere else, i think..Ya 'all come back next year ,ya here .. Yeah it looked a bit like JR but a little more haggard and allways walking around shaking his head and dam you should have seen him when he thought he lost a rifle out of the back of his ute.

Guys i would like to send out a big thank you to the Townsville guys for putting on a great shoot.

The FNQ guys are a great bunch of blokes to shoot with and Jugs and I had a great time up there.

We will certainly be back. And i can recomend their Iron man shoot to anyone interested in going up that way. It was well run and very well sponsored.

Thanks again guys for a great shoot.
cheers,
Shane
