RAPID owners!!!!

Post by Whitey »

I have been talking to DR BOB on the Rapid Owners website in England. I am keen to be able to use a bipod on my new Rapid. He makes a clamp to go on the air cylinder of Rapids which then enables you to attach a Harris bipod. They are a quick release set up. I am getting one and if anyone else is interested let me know asap and I'll get as many as are required. They will be around $45 to $50 bucks. Let me know.

I need to know if it will fit the 500CC high pressure bottle as well as the standard 400CC 200 BAR bottles

Received the Dr. Bob clamps for the Rapid bottle today. Allows you to attach a bi-pod or a sling to the underside of the bottle. Are of good quality and nice finish. Will post a pick soon, as I should have the bi-pod tomorrow.

Well that looks like a pretty good set up Brendan!
What is your opinion of the both the Clamp and the Bipod. I am eager to get mine sorted now.
Also what was the price delivered of the bipod from Arctic fox?
It makes a good looking outfit.

Howdy NH,
That thing on the barrel of Whiteys Rapid is called a Barrel Finisher by Theoben,
but if you look at it closely it has infinite possibilties.

Ray,

The bipod is not from Artic Fox. I grabbed it today when I picked up my new Savage stainless laminated .17HMR from the dealer. I think the Arctic fox one was around $90. Just check their web site.
I haven't had a chance to try it yet but feels good. It is powdercoated and looks durable. Your clamp I sent express so they tell me it will be there tomorrow. I know how much I hate waiting for things!!!

Yeah I know what you mean, thanks for that Brendan,
I found out late today that I can pick up a good Bipod from a mate at the right price,so the sooner the clamp arrives it will all happen.
How is your Rapid performing? I am totally rapt with my .20. Everything I point it at it hits dead centre.well most of the time. It is a very accurate rifle and with me shooting it that is saying something for the rifle.
Another Savage .17 Ay! they are really popular. great gun enjoy it!
Cheers Ray. :hunting:

Hi Whitey,
Dr Bob,s Bottle clamp just arrived. A nicely made bit of gear will do the job quite well.
Thanks again for your effort Brendan, the long range stuff with the Rapid will now be more deadly.
Good shooting mate! Cheers Ray. :rifle:
