Varmint Rifle Profiles
We would love to feature your rifles on our website fellas. Basically what I want to create is a varmint rifle data base including pics and categorise it them into what cal the rifles are chambered in.
I have assembled a questionare for this so all profiles follow the same format. You can write as little or as much as you like.
Please don't fill it out here please email me (kjd[at]hunters-hut.com) it in any format you like as I'll format it for the web.
You can just copy and paste these questions and answer in between them.

This is a semi-custom Savage I put together with a little help from a friend with a good shop. It was a 10FP .223, but I swapped out the barrel with a new factory .204 barrel when it became available. It's in a Bell & Carlson Duramaxx stock (glassed into place) and fitted up with a Weaver V-24. It has a SharpShooter trigger set at 14 oz, and it shoots pretty well, I think. It certainly blows up prairie dogs nicely, though that's not hard to do. My eyes aren't what they could be, but it will shoot right at a quarter MOA if I am "on" that day.

Currently, my small game outfit is a Ruger KM77 MkII All-Weather in 223 with the standard 22" sporter weight barrel. The scope is a Leupold Vari-XIIc 3-9x40mm. I have lighten the trigger to 2.2lb and installed a trigger shoe. The barrel is fully floated.
These bunnies were shot with Speer 52gr HPs
I've tested numerous projectiles type/weights and powders, the load that consistently shoots well in this rifle is;
Nosler 40gr Ballistic Tip
WSR primer
27.3grs of Benchmark 2
Remington brass
Chronographed velocity = 3480ft/s
0.712" at 100m
Nosler 40gr Ballistic Tip
The results

Re: Varmint Rifle Profiles
Here is the closest thing i have to a varmint rifle. It's a Krico sporter in .222 Rem with an unknown SS barrel, some modifications to the original stock and topped off with a 6-18x40 nikon buckmaster. I load it with 40grn v-max's pushed along by 21grns of ADI AR2219. Shoots like a dream.
