diana model 34

hi guys...................
have a diana model 34 air rifle,what are they like,anygood for hunting with, brought it twenty odd years ago,lucky to have a box of pellets through it ,it`s in real top condition..

Not a bad airgun.They do up to 900FPS in .177 and 750 in .22 with light pellets.They were prone to breaking mainsprings in the early days as well as spring guides.
It will definitely need an over haul after 20 years.It will be bone dry inside and the piston seal old,hard and undersize.
The early ones are extremely difficult to scope with the shallow short scope rail.

Hi Bob,
That S/N doesn't sound like it's that old.There is a date stamp MM/YY on the LHS rear of the receiver just above the stock line.
Have a look.

well i`ll be buggered..yep there it is 02-91 that`s 17 years old...

lewis....now for a scope for it...can you help..

Hi guy's

Lewis maybe I can jump in and help. Trishbob, I have a D34 as well. Not as old as yours though. DEFINITELY send it to Lewis for an overhaul. You will swear it is a different gun. Make sure you listen to what he says about scoping too!!

Thanks Ben.The Maccari kit and Supertune makes such a difference for sure!
