Yes I was,I think,it was just kjd having a laugh, :?: although I thought he might of tired of it and put weatherby back in.
As for the post above,I believe you are correct, about the 30 caliber,
v 7mm, the face is bigger there fore at the same speeds more damage will be done,however this I believe is compensated for by the deeper penatration of the 7mm.
30 cal vs 7mm weight for weight, with equal speed there's really only academic differences.
I only suggested the 280 as another alternative and I though a good one,
cheers :?
I see on the preview he's still at it, well different strokes I suppose. :roll:

ROFLMAO = Rolling On The Floor Laughing My Ass Off
LOL = Lauging Out Loud
QFT = Quoted For Truth
TTIUWP = This Thread Is Useless Without Pics

ROFL = Rolling On the Floor Laughing.
Or to look even cooler.... ROFLMAO.

ojr: When "Weatherby" is posted the software detects it and replaces it with "Weatherby". The reason I can get it to work is because I type it like this....

Code: Select all

Weatherby

ojr there is a forum here that is run by roy boy- read Weatherby- nuts. :wink: If you don't own or like Roy's toys you cop heaps and of course give heaps back.

All we are doing is indulging in the great Aussie past time of taking the piss ot of each outher. Come to think of it you Kiwis are pretty good at that too. :shock: hehehe

The "Roy-boy" joke is no different to a certain US forum where the Rem700 is referred to as a "Sucks" action. Which is true mind you, as they do "suck" when they need to be trued and rebarrelled to match accuracy of a production Savage :P :P :lol:
Cheers...

30/06 for me. I actually load it with 125 Speer TNT for this size game. Ive shot out to 250m and its a dynamite killer. I bought a BLR first, shit did it kick. So I sold it and bought a Wheatherby Vanguard with a timber stock. You can get it blue or stainless. It is a pleasure to shoot. So much so that the 243 hardly gets used any more.

Dave

My brother swears by his 308. I load 110 grain VMAX for his.
