I read on the 204ruger board where Sierra had inadvertantly packaged some .224 bullets in the 39gr BK .204 boxes. I emailed them & here is there reply.
Glen,
Yes - it was a single lot number and it was 004013219xxxx. The last for
digits are just a packaging code and do not change the lot the bullets came
from.
The lot number is the longer top label on the little white sticker attached
to the box. The smaller bottom label is just a serialization number and has
no effect on the lot either.
If the first 9 digits of the top line are 004013219 - we would like to have
the customers contact us and not even open the box if they have not already.
Thanks for helping us get the work out.
Thank you,
Matt

Just an FYI in case some of those bullets got to OZ, but that's unlikely, it was a small number that escaped the Sierra plant.

It's probably not a big deal, some .224" 50 BKs got in with the 39 .204s, most folks who have .20s have .224" guns, too, and you can easily feel the difference when you pick them up, but Sierra's doing the right thing.
I've taken the Sierra plant tour three times, and it would be easy get things mixed up on the boxing tables (done mostly by weight, of course). They usually don't box up two sizes at the same time, though, so something got amiss.
