I have a roof mounted Lightforce Blitz 240 but with i'm going to seel my 4wd soon and look for something else. Im just wondering if its worth updating to something else. I've heard that the powa beams are spose to be pretty good but I havent heard much about them.
Everything ive heard is that the powa beams are better than night force but like anything more expensive. To be honest im not sure the foxes etc really know the difference plus if you have a crap scope on your rifle to start with it dosent matter how much light is out there imo.
Hello,
We use a Light force RMSM140 Lance. It is scope mounted but you can have another person carry it. It is connected to a one of those lead sealed 7 amp batteries in a camcorder battery bag from jay car. I will try and post a picture later.
Cheers,
Peter
These are great for walking around the bush at night. Or waiting at a dam for animals to come for a drink during the night.
The place we go there are a few pro's shooting them and any car noise, when we can get on , will scare the game away.
Also the dogs are getting very cunning so we normally sit and wait near a recent kill.
Cheers,
Peter
When I shoot on my own I use a rifle mounted as previously described. I spot with a regular SL170 as I drive around, then when I spot the intended victim I turn it off and pick up the rifle with its mounted 140.
When I'm with my brother we use is SL240 (huge bloody thing) and its awesome light is good.
