Hi All,
i was given some gamo rockets in .177 today by a mate to try out. They are the ones with a steel BB moulded in the front secton. I have read on a few web sites about them and they say they are very uniformed and enhances down-range performance so gave them a go today when i opened the box of 150 pellets that cost my mate $15. That they where definitely not uniformed as you could see very clearly where the 2 halfs had been joined and had more lead on one side then the other and just looked like crap. the first one i pulled out of the box didn't even fit in the barrel as it was to big then the next one went in ok, fired well then went and had a look at the target was a fair way off to the top right of where i had it aimed so took another shot airmed on the same spot went and had a look at the target again this time to the lower right shot a few more then fired one didn't have the same sound or kick back and didn't hear it hit the target so started walking to the targer about 5 or 6 meters from where i was shooting a saw something on the concrete it was the pellet i had just fired. Has any one else used them and if so how do you find they go. if anyone wants to try some give me a PM and i will sent u a few.
Mitch

Re: Gamo pellets
Mitch,
I have used them but did not have as much trouble as you had with them. The trouble I had with them was they didn't shoot very good groups but the groups were still ok. Like gigitt said it may just be a bad batch.
cheers
