sunday went off hooked into 20 - 25 with 12 coming to the kayak, fish sps in very shallow recently flooded areas of the dam
was an excellent day...
heres the one from saturday....forgot the camera on sunday and i think i will leave at home every time if the fishing is the same as sunday

Nice fish there, it's good to see that the barra are still on the chew even though the weather is starting to cool. I have not managed to get out this barra season but did real well last year.

caught 12 the day after...what a session...one kept
there are actually barra right around the edges since the dam flooded. it's just trying to keep your lures weedless and swimming free that the problem. seen most feeding 1 - 2' from the bank, even had some come up to yak for a look...cheeky buggers

Re: teemBARRA dam
Hi there astro, just wondering what level the dam is. Here when the weirs flow and the dam flows the barra seem to come on the bite but as soon as the flow stops they slow down a fair bit.
Re: teemBARRA dam
it's 100%....stopped going over the wall, doesn't seem that too many went over by all reports
got a floating snake lure on the way...should work very well with the barra feeding in the thick weeds close to the banks....
water is chilling off though

Good stuff Astro and a nice pic mate. I have family in Cairns/Townsville and I'm busting to get up there and get amongst the action.

Beautiful fish mate, reminds of black bass. must be good fun getting hammered by those big barra in your canoe. hang on tight...
