Re: My new project, help please!!!
I'm firmly in the 204 fan club, (think I may lead the cheer squad from time to time so dont need to repeat myself here) I've also got a 223 and also cant see the point in an AI version BUT I would be very interested in a 204 ruger necked up to 22 cal. It would be a like a 222rem mag ackley improved. If funds were unlimited I would have one. If your reloading forming cases would be a peice of piss. It would be a rarity, you would definetely own something unique.

Yeah good point trev, either way im selling up all my gear and rifles and i will start seriously looking at getting these new rifles underway. Im still un sure which way to go but if the right rifle for the money comes up it will be either a .204, 223, 22-250AI or 243AI or maybe a couple just have to wait and see if i can find a good second hand one or buy a few donor rifles new...

G'Day Dave,
consider the 6x47 lapua with a 1:8" barrel instead of the 243AI. You can use it for paper punching in F class (open) AND shooting varmints, a very versatile and accurate cartridge.

Re: My new project, help please!!!
Well ive got
- Winchester Model 70 243 HB which im considering hanging onto as a bloke was after it but has now gone a bit cold on it, putting it into a synthetic stock getting it reamed to AI and using it as a rabbit rifle
- Remington Sendero 25-06 beautiful rifle which has hardly fired a shot but just dosent get used and is realistically a bit more than i need
- Howa 1500 7mm WSM which was going to be a deer rifle thats hardly fired a shot and never will and i cant seem to get rid off
Ideally want a small one .204/.223 possibly keep the 243 cause no one wants it and im eventually getting the 6.5x55AI built on the omark down the track i have.
That sound plausible???

Have a look at the CZ527's for the 204 and 223 mate, they are nice rifles as long as you don't want stainless, and a synthetic stock on a CZ is just plain wrong.
