I headed back to the 10 metre indoor range to see what the FWB would shoot like with varying projectile weights after the Beeman tune up and also try different Factory Target sight Heights.
Firstly I fitted a 10mm spacer under the rear sight and the factory higher front sight with 4.2 mm insert,I thought this set up may help by having a lot less face contact with the rifle.I had also adjusted the cheek piece to max right hand side set up.
I set up my basic benchrest rest and rear bag,sighted the rifle in with the 7 Grain RWS and started shooting groups.
All groups are 5 shots and consecutive, no shots have been left out.
First Targets are 7 gr RWS group sizes .17 and .13 inch
7.7 gr RWS group size .12 and .14
8.2 gr RWS group size .12 and .12
With the elevated sights the rifle felt uncomfortable to shoot,did not feel consistant from shot to shot and the vertical stringing was not normal.
I removed the rear sight spacer and higher front sight and put the rifle back to standard.
I re-sighted the rifle in with the 7 grain RWS's and shot 3 consecutive 5 shot groups,1 each with the different weight projectiles.
7 gr RWS group size .1
7.7 gr RWS group size .07
8.2 gr RWS groups size .03
The rifle felt really comfortable to shoot and shows how such little changes to the rifle can have a big impact at the Target end.
The rifle is really shooting well after Lewis's tune up.
Next trip to the range I will test with a 3 inch Aluminium plate fitted to the forend and front and rear Edgewood Sand bags.

Shooting little groups is always fun,never easy and only possible when you have a little luck,your equipment,especially the rifle is working at its BEST.
In this case you tuned the rifle and a little luck took care of the rest. This is the smallest 5 shot group so far since you tuned the rifle

I measure the group about .02 inches centre to centre

It just doesn't get any better!Did you receive some JSB Pistol Pellets in the green tin?
If not,I will send some.They work well in 600's and only weigh 7.3 gns.

Do you still sell the Black Plastic type gun cases that you sit the rifle into vertically?
