More question re varmint rifles.
How is the Weatherby Varmint Red mist rifle?
Has anyone had any experience with one of these?
Cheers

Had one in 22-250 after having it bedded and the trigger done it shot fine with handloads and cheap winchester factory stuff. Pretty tough rifle and nicely priced.

I have a Weatherby Vanguard Varmint Sub-Moa in .223R. It has the factory custom trigger which is really crisp on let off, a bell & carlson synthetic stock which has an aluminium bedding block and I put a Bushnell Elite 4200 2.5-10x40mm scope on it in Leupold low profile rings. The rifle shots very accurately using Federal Premium 40gn NBT. I absolutely love shooting this rifle at rabbits as head shots are easy to take and the Bushnell Elite scope is definetly worth the money as its optics are excellent quality. I would recommend you consider spending the extra few dollars and get the Varmint Sub-Moa with factory custom trigger, since the whole rifle has been put together by Weatherby as if it was a custom job.
