Post by Model70 »

Can .308 cases be resized to 7mm in a standard 7mm FLS die or is a special sizing die required????????

Model70,

Yes mate you can re-size your 308 brass to 7-08 in a 7-08 FLS die. Just ensure you set the die correctly in your press and watch the neck thickness.

When sizing cases down the neck thickens which can create pressure problems. This is easily addressed by neck turning the cases after sizing to remove excess brass.

Yes neck turning is a shitty job.

cheers

If you could source some 243 cases, you would be better off necking up than down.

Thanks fellas, the reason I ask is because I have around 500 .308 cases sitting here....
