Since Brad Y told me that the "handi-rifle" was available in 45-70 i have been doing some research, well its also available in 500 S&W too. Now with the 45-70 not much else uses that same case, well not much else that is bigger, which is what i want to do, get a nice cheep one and modify it for a little fun.
who knows what case the new 500 S&W is derived from? Thinking maybe i could get it re-chambered into some sort of small 50 cal punkin roller.

Give the guy at Noosa Shooting Supplies a call mate - he was carrying a range of the H&R stuff, including the Buffalo Classic. Might call him myself as he still has the .38/55 Target listed.

Handi Rifle in 500 S+W
I am keen to get a Handi Rifle in 500 S+W.
I asked on the NIOA forum on AHN if the intend to bring this cal (on the 15/1) but still waiting for a reply...........
Worth noting that the 500 S+W uses .500 dia projectiles, while the majority of other 50 cals (50 Alaskan, 500 NE, 50/110, 50/70 etc) use .510 dia projectiles.
Cheers

Bugger it, 45 would be big enough i reckon for a little fun.woob614271 wrote:Paz, i think the 500 S7w is a case all onj its own.
