The Maddco action are very good - one of our local shooters has one on a McMillan stock and won a yardage at NSW LV titles a couple of years ago.
The only bitch I have with them is that they use a trigger unique to the action. So...if you have a problem, you can't just chuck a Remington type in there to get you through. I asked Neville two years ago for a spare one for Garry, and I am still waiting to see it.

For those of you going to Canberra...
I will have some gear for sale that belongs to a mate here in Adelaide.
One Stolle Pands actioned 6mm/284 smithed by PSECO, Jewell trigger Maddco barrel, McMillan stock with a NXS 8-32x scope, dies cases etc. Good F Class/1000yd rifle. Ready to shoot and win.
Only a barrel away from being whatever you like.
$4600 worth of value...offers around $3750 considered
Will sell the rifle seperate.
Also have a few Nightforce scopes in 5.5-22 and 8-32x - around a grand each.
I'm the guy with the black "13" rifle.

Just wondering if your mate would part with ...just the action ? prolly a shame to pull it apart but....how much for the bare gun ? Is it an MBR type stock ?
Will see you there Jimbo![]()
KY
The bare rifle would be around $2750.
If you just want an action, you can get one in for around $1500, but you will have to go through all the bullshit to do it.

Spent yesterday forming cases, and this morning working up a load for the PPC!!! WOW...
I got to spend about 2 hours doing load work, and forgot my flags.... so it was a interesting morning.... Learnt a lot about mirage though, as that all I had to read......
Anyway, who wants to put a guesstimate (its a word) on where I will come overall at the shoot. I'm guessing I am in with a chance for the wooden spoon.... as I was there for the load development! Didnt get much done...
I think I'll call this match a "LEARNING CURVE".... sounds like a good excuse huh??
I might have the load all worked up, and the rifle on fire by the last target! YEAH!
Cheers

Ps. Kenny, anybody.... HELP!

AI,
Kenny and I will be no.1 & 2 so anywhere between no.3 and 75....how's that for a guesstimate.....Kenny's young bloke is having his first ever registered shoot so you will be both novices....you wont get the wooden spoon I'll assure you of that unless you do something stupid....there are some that have shot for years and still either dont know how to tune their rifle or dont have a competitive rifle or just cant read windflags....so there is hope for you yet.

So I take it that you pair of Champions would be interested in going into a sweep for five bucks a group, winner take all?steven wrote:AI,
