Busted crow
Busted crow
Managed to drop this crow in my yard recently with my FX Cyclone. It was perched high in a tree at about 35 metres, when I sent a 21 grain barracuda pellet into it's head & it dropped like a stone..!
Very satisfying.......

Crowbuster- I recently seen an article in a mag where they lured crows in with two decoys positioned around a real dead rabbit with the guts pulled out a bit.
I recon it would be a sure hit with the black feathered friends.
I have just purchased a PCP from lewis and cant wait to smash a crow with it.
Regards
Damien

G'day
I purchased a Theoben Rapid MFR in real tree Camo .22cal.
I am hoping to pick up a dive cylinder for it on friday while in brissy.
I have spoke to Jason (Deco on AHN.) at Dive Dive Dive and he tells me he has a tank but it needs certification and they have just come back from holidays and not sure if it will be ready in time.
I bustin to get hold of it and give it a crack.

The Theoban sounds like a nice bit of gear Native.
Why not just use a hand pump for it though? Scuba tanks sound good in theory, but they need retesting every year (used to be every 5 yrs) & at about $30 a test plus the hassle I wonder if it's worth it.
On top of this you've got the ongoing expense of getting the tank refilled & are there any dive shops in Casino...? Probably not.
I already have a scuba tank (from my muff diving days) but when I researched it I decided to stick with the pump for my FX -for now anyway.

I'm not a 100% sure but I think Theoben wont warranty there guns if filled via a pump, they recommend using dry air tanks.
Theres a few dive shops with in 60 klms of here and the fire brigade also have provisions to fill tanks.
I may buy a pump one day but will just go with the tank for the time being.

Handpumps are hard work especially with the Rapid's 400cc bottle. The MFR is 280.crowbuster wrote:The Theoban sounds like a nice bit of gear Native.

I like selling pumps first because soon after, they buy a SCUBA adaptor as well!
SCUBA air is best.

Theoben have told me that they don't have a problem with pumps. They just question someone's sanity using one on a rifle.native hunter wrote:I'm not a 100% sure but I think Theoben wont warranty there guns if filled via a pump, they recommend using dry air tanks.

I use a compressor in the workshop.
They must be wimps then because pumping ain't that hard for someone of average strength. Three minutes pumping every 2 dozen shots is not a problem for me, but I guess if you shoot a lot more than this you'd either get very fit or very sick of it....Theoben have told me that they don't have a problem with pumps. They just question someone's sanity using one on a rifle.
ps. nailed another crow this arvo as it came in for a look at it's dead mate......yipeeeeeee!

G'day
Went to get the tank today and it was not ready so they loaned me a tank till mines ready(hows that for service.).
Good blokes to deal with @ Dive Dive Dive in brissy, recommended if you have any air requirements.
They gave me a bit of tuition while I was there and explained a few things to me.
The gun arrived at my dealer while I was in brissy and the shop was closed when I got home ,DAMMMM.
