wondering if anyone has used 1 of these, AirForce Condors?

I was looking around at various hunting pics and found a few of what happens when u hit something with a .308 to close..... wasnt pretty,

Im curently starting up in F-Standard .308 target shooting from 300 to 600m and up intill i saw this was going to use the .308 for hunting to.........



Hmmmmmm.... Since the largest thing Id concider shooting would probably be a fox.. I think hunting with a .308 might be a bit of overkill for me.

So I been looking round for hunting air rifles and stumbled on this....



heres some info about it.....



Looks pretty cool, and the 1250 at the muzzle sounds pretty cool, only down side i can see is that it only holds 1 shot =[ ...

Has anyone used this or know anything about it?

no i haven't used one but if hunting is what you want to do then a .22 or .25 cal is better .177 is a bit light for a fox i feel and personally would be going for a powder burner to ensure quick kills......IMHO

the reason for me wanting to use a air rifle is I wanna keep asmuch of the animal intact as posible, even in .22 with a muzzle speed of 1250 that should be enough to instant kill a fox with a head shot shouldnt it?
ill mostly be useing it for rabbits and the occasional duck.

I wonder what kind of muzzle speed this thing would get in .177 if it does 1250 in .22

Wonder if you can adapt the Ozzito C02 canisters being sold in Bunnings Hardware for use with tools as a fill tank or replacement?

Just need a regulator to fit Ozitto Bottle, needle valve and reactor and away you go.

Anything is possible... You can use a Scuba tank as a refill station for a PCP.

Good hunting airarms are starting to look overly expencive, complicated and under-powered compared to powder rifles T_T...

I may just have to invest in a smaller cal rifle for hunting later on...
I liked the idea of shooting super cheep ammo but the messing round with accessories and stuff doesnt seem worth it....

Well, just wait and see what rimfire ammo is going up to in the next few months. At the moment we sell SK Magazine (baked bean tin size container of 500 rounds) for somewhere around $65. The next shipment we get in will have gone up by 30% which relates to about $85 on the shelf . Eley Tenex will be around the $30+ per box of 50. The airpowered guns may be expensive and complicated but the cost of shooting them, even with premier grade pellets, is pretty cheap.
My prediction is that many rimfire benchrest shooters will be spending $1.00 per shot for their match grade ammo within two years. Mr.Average will be on something like $0.35 per shot for .22LR rimfire and well over the $1.00 for .22WMRF.
It ain't lookin pretty.
