G'day
aJR- Some good and very valid points there.
Sure to create discussion.
I like the last quote best-
"It cost ya what you paid for it."

I agree with Matt with all but the one about prone shooters being superior marksmen. I recently sat next to and spotted as Bruce Scott shot 75.13 at a 15 shot 300m match while the best F Standard could do was 75.9. The rest were worse than that by a long way. It was light breeze and fierce mirage and like many at Camp Perry have said in the any any matches, on days like that the iron sight has the edge. I didn't shoot, thank god, but i have seen far too many like Blomfield and Simpson, part time FClassers, really flog the seasoned scopies. In Full Bore wind and mirage reading is everything and some of these prone shooters are very very good at it. Credit where credit is due.

While i'm here i will post my favorite pic of 07. This is just at the commence fire of the first relay of our 600 IBS match shot on our 3 day shoot in July.

In the foreground is Eric the illegal alien from Canada, Ian Davis from Victoria, Trevor Armstrong, Chris Joscht here on an overseas visit from Magnetic Island where i believe he is some sort underworld figure , Warwick Kinnane and Charlie Robinson. Peter Henry is the one looking relaxed in his chair.
