Ted’s knife thread

Well in case we miss any of the posts due to forum traffic levels let’s keep all Ted’s new knife builds in one spot.

Ted if you post them in this thread we will all be able to find them. Ps I know as a dedicated forged in fire fan that I would enjoy photos of hot metal or any other part of the process if you have the time to take and post them as well as the finished article.

And just to kick it off here is my deermaster collection. There should be five but stupid lost one

As Trev said I would also love to see a bit more of your process. I still remember reading your grinder build project over on AHN (well I think that was you) and also reading the article in SSAA ? mag on making knives. Probably part of what made me realise that you don't need all this fancy bits of kit to make a decent knife and just get stuck in to it and make one.

Thanks Bimbo and glad you started making knives yourself mate. The scales you make are fantastic too. Can't believe how much trouble Gnome has gone to to keep me posting here, Thanks mate your a legend. and yes Trevor, I will try to find some pics of making something with the forge and showing some hot metal for you. Ta mate

Glad you liked the Taipan, I reckon I have another piece of that wire Damascus here somewhere, I have mislaid it, but hopefully will make another Taipan from it one day.

MAKING A HAWK FROM A PINCH BAR
Well as you said Trev at least I think it was you. Here's a few pics of making a Hawk from an old Pinch Bar

Photo one is a piece of the bar, 2 I have drilled some holes and dremeled it a bit then heating it up and then quenching then the final Hawk.
