the PPC is about 10 thou shorter.

This design is fair bit more work Mark, the one I was contemplating was simply running a 30 PPC reamer 0.125" deeper and using the PPC head space gauge into a standard 7.62x39 chamber, its straightens the case wall gives an altered shoulder angle and you just fire form your brass.

I found it when looking for an improved version Benchrest Central have all the details. Using CFE BLK on the standard x39 with 123 grn bullets i'm getting 2,540 fps without pushing the pressure Scott I think the powder would work a treat on your case

I get 2500fps with 123gr projies out of my 6.r grendel and they are super accurate.

I only play with ADI powder, I'm past worrying about supply issues.
