Hi Mick. Bit late in seeing this post.
Mate i cannot help with the 87 grain pills in the SLR apart from maybe starting at the point you finish with the 103s.
With the 103s i suggest starting low at around 41 grains depending on your bore dimension. At 0.237" your pressure will generally be lower and at 0.236", of course a fair bit higher.
You are going to see a node at around the 3075 fps mark, and another at around 3150 -3200 fps. At that point, your pressure is going to be right up there.
In my SLR with 103s, 105s and 107s i went through to 45 grains of Re16 in Lapua 308 cases formed down. That was about as far as i ventured where cases were still OK but i would tread carefully going there. No idea of the speed, but it has to be well over 3200 fps out of the 30 inch Krieger.
My prediction, all things being rational, is something around 43 grains should show promise. I think you will find all the groups will be good like i did. You will most likely have to run them way out to single out the right dosage. One and two hundred can be misleading. Three hundred should start to show the vertical separation. Primers can play a big part here but i would use either the 210s or the 200s. That CCI 200 is a very underrated primer where a few of us have been using them in matches for some years. Jacko uses nothing else in his 7 SAUM.
Best of luck with it Mick and post up some results. Good or bad.

G'day Tony Z ,
No probs mate, not everyone is on here 24/7.
IBI barrel @ 26" unsure of the internal dimensions. No info on their website either.
From the single fired case I have on hand (not very scientific/good average) but 52.5gn of water averaged from 6 measurements (only fluctuated 0.1gn heavier).
Cheers for the info, will do some testing starting at 41gn of R16. (Wont have the powder actually in my hands for a little while though)
103gn pills at around 3075fps is nothing to sneeze at, if the accuracy is there, I most likely wont go harder.
Have plenty CCI 200's on hand too.
No accuracy plot, just a out and out speed check, around 42.5gn looks promising, and is coincidentally the same velocity I was getting from 43gn of R17 @3311fps that was used to very good effect in the Ruger VT.

Are those speeds an average, if so, how many shots, or just the single shot ? What about ES and all that other shit ?

Average of 5 shots, close enough spread to not give a rodents rectum.
